There is SO much to see in and around Phuket, but here are my recommended must-sees:
1 PHI PHI ISLANDS – YOU MUST take a day trip out to these. They are truly spectacular and legitimately brought me to tears as we arrived by boat during sunrise. We took this sunrise day trip out and wow, just wow. #1 on the list for a reason. Feel free to read more about my day at the Phi Phi Islands on the blog.
BIG BUDDHA – I absolutely wanted to see some Thai temples when I was in Phuket, and Big Buddha was an incredibly unique temple I just had to see. Not only was seeing it amazing, but the monks chanting and singing there were really something spectacular. Pack a modest outfit and get yourself an inexpensive cab or private car and make your way up the huge hill.
JAMES BOND ISLAND – This was another day tour out to neighboring islands that was amazing. In addition to stopping by the island itself, you also get to canoe through caves, see the floating Muslim village of Koh Panyi, and end the day at Bamboo Island (if you go on this tour like I did).
PHUKET ELEPHANT SANCTUARY – This is an ABSOLUTE MUST for animal lovers. This is truly an elephant sanctuary, not one pretending to be. You get to interact with the elephants in a respectful way, and you learn so much about them and what elephants go through in animal tourism. It changed my life and feel free to read more about how I loved every second of it.
BANGLA ROAD – If you’re an enjoyer of good food and good drink, Bangla Road is a blast. We don’t have many photos of our time there – but we had lots of drinks instead. Highly recommend if you’re the type to enjoy a good night out partying with people from around the world.
WAT CHALONG – If you’ve got a few days in Phuket you can see another temple, no problem! Wat Chalong was more of the traditional type of temple you would see, and it was so, so beautiful. Take the time to experience the different buildings on the lands here.
Holler if you have any questions, follow me on Instagram, and book your trip, ladies!
